Diana Sikes, the personal hair stylist for Glenn Close in Damages and Department Head for that series, is at the top of her game. Her stellar recent credits include personal stylist toTimothy Olyphant on The Crazies, Russell Crowe’s personal stylist on American Gangster and Department Head  on the HBO series In-Treatment.

Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Sikes began her show business career as a singer, actress and dancer, performing at age 16 in Summer Stock at the Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City. She majored in Performing Arts at Oklahoma City University, before traveling around the country, appearing in various capacities, from a singer in an R&B band to performing on cruise ships. Eventually, Sikes ended up in New York City to pursue a career as an actress. It was on a tour of Tommy, while doubling as actress and wig mistress, that she found her calling as a hairdresser and never looked back.

After supervising on Broadway in various shows, including Jesus Christ Superstar, The Glass Menagerie, The Full Monty, Footloose and The King and I (during which she met her husband), Sikes decided to further her career by taking the union test that made her eligible for work in film and television. Some of her first jobs were EDNY, Hate, Unfaithful and Catch Me If You Can. She has also worked with some of the most noted directors in Hollywood including Ridley Scott, Darron Aronofsky, Sydney Lumet, Ron Howard, Ed Burns and Steven Spielberg, all of whom have counted on the skills of this gifted styllist to make the characters in their movies come alive.
